Why did the customer contact us?

Mike removed a box from the floor of the utility closet and saw this mold. He called us, and we found a leak coming from outside of the wall (behind the shower tile) which created mold.

Solutions provided:

Although we take precautions on every job, we were extra careful since this involved a playroom closet mold issue that could impact their children. We set up a plastic containment separating the playroom from the second floor and the main floor. Once the mold was removed, we installed new molding, sheetrock, and painted the area being replaced inside the closet. New flooring was also installed.

To eliminate future mold, we removed a 9” section of shower tile that was allowing the leaking behind the wall. We replaced it with new tile over the area floor to ceiling. One shelf was removed and closed with new tile. This should stop water from penetrating the back of the wall in the future.
